OOOPS...Add the vinegar once you've strained the fruit juice.

I am becoming addicted to this - always a topic of interest, well researched and well-written, and a luscious recipe thrown in for good measure! Just wondering how the strawberry shrub will go with Greek yoghurt ... or my home-made ginger ice-cream ...

You have no idea how happy your generous comment has made me. Thank you. I think the shrub could go extremely well with both suggestions. (I'm envious of your ginger ice cream.) It makes me wonder if it might not also go as a sauce for a magret or other of duck...

I never pay undeserved compliments. Ooh, the sauce for duck sounds good!

I couldn’t agree more. We never buy bottled water. I remember visiting my MIL in Paris 38 years ago shortly after we married, & feeling astonished at the amount of bottled water on offer. Now, of course, grocery stores in the US have one side of an aisle dedicated to bottled water, but not back then. I wish it would be banned.

Btw, I appreciate your writings regarding food. They’re unusual & informative.

I agree with you about banning bottled water for simple rehydration purposes. But I do enjoy discovering unfamiliar ones in bars abd restaurants where it adds to the meal/wine experience.

I am so lucky in the people who read Tabled! Your support and comments - even the challenging ones - are essential and when positive like yours, so bolstering, too. Thank you.
