I like the Vietnamese version of the same, nuoc chanh muoi, which you can make using salted preserved lemons (buy in jars from your local Asian supermarket) and your choice of water, fizzy water, or 7up. 7up is the typical serve in the south (in my experience), while fizzy water tends to dominate in the central region. Not drunk enough of it in the north to opine...

It's one of my favourite things to drink in the summer! Another refreshing option, although not salted, is nuoc chanh day. Take two passion fruit, empty them into a tall glass, top with ice and fizzy water. Not only is it delicious, but it counts as two of your 5 (to 9!) a day, as you're consuming all of the dietary fibre (such as can be found in a passion fruit).

I do like the sound of this! Definitely going to give it a try, though trying to work out how to keep stuff cold camping ... On the other hand, Aberdeenshire in July - might need hot coffee more than cold fizzy passionfruit! And I do agree - fizzy seems to refresh better!

Good heavens! I had no idea this was happening. Those of us in universties are first seeing our work both changing- assessment methods we have used for years will no longer work- and disappearing. It is scary stuff but fascinating too.

Personally, I find the whole AI thing faintly horrifying, especially its effects on employment. Another example, perhaps, of something we can do, but probably shouldn't. I grew honeyberry in my last garden (now ripped out along with all the other productive trees and bushes, which have been replaced by grass - 'nuff said!) - it's very easy to grow. Don't know about France, but certainly a lot of mail-order nurseries in GB sell it. The recipe received as usual with gratitude, it sounds delicious.
