Not being a massive beer drinker, or a meat eater, I wasn't expecting to enjoy Prague as much as I did! But then I discovered that not only do they make fabulous wines, but they also have a decent Vietnamese expat community, many of whom own restaurants. SAVED!

Dear Julia,

thank you for the entertaining and educating review (as always!!) . I would suggest The Good Soldier Svejk for those looking for s book to shorten the flight or ride. There is a chain of Svejk -themed pubs in Prague too.

A reader from Austria however would frown over your reference to Gernan and Swiiss Schnitzel. Vienna Schnitzel is THE classic and worth a separate story.
