I’ve just received this uplifting email from Substack, featuring Tabled on its home page. I would never have been sent it were it not for you and your curiosity and your support. Freelancers write into the void and have little sense of who reads them or why. Or if the reader will come back again next week. It’s heartening that you seem to care as much as I do about what lies behind the production of the food we eat, and the origin of the food we eat. Every reader is Number One reader, and a hero for spending time with an unknown writer sitting at some crumb-and-coffee splattered laptop somewhere in the world.
